Finally, I arrived in Palawan safe and sound despite the bad weather. Since I left Cebu with sunny weather, I was really expecting the same for Palawan. Well… expect the unexpected! lol. I then took a tricycle and went straight to Liane’s Place, where I stayed for 2 nights. Also had a late lunch at the restaurant just across the inn while deciding where to go first. So where did I go first?
Before I went to Honda Bay, I stopped by Kalui Restaurant to make a reservation. Yes, a reservation is a must here because many tourists and even locals dine at this place. It’s a native seafood restaurant and, I’d say, one of the most highly recommended. It’s so popular that it’s featured in almost every blog I checked before the trip. My main plan for the day was Honda Bay island hopping, followed by Iwahig firefly watching, so I booked a 9:00–9:30 PM schedule. Since it’s my first day in Palawan, I wanted to try the best restaurant right away.
On my second day in Palawan, I decided to go on the Underground River tour, try the Ugong Rock Cave adventure, and experience the Iwahig firefly watching. That meant I needed a lot of energy for the day’s activities. Good thing the weather was so gooooooood! Most of you might have heard of or even visited the Subterranean River National Park in Palawan, also known as the Underground River, right? But how do you get there? Who should you contact? I’ve read a lot of great reviews about this, saying it’s a must-try, so I added it to my list for Puerto Princesa. I originally wanted to do a DIY tour, but unfortunately, everyone kept advising me to go for the package tour instead since it includes everything. And when I say everything, I mean house and lot, furniture, and a kabuhayan showcase. No, just kidding. I randomly scored a package tour for just ₱1000 per person — yes, really. It already included van transfers, boat rides, a buffet dinner, and basically every transfer you could think of. Not bad at all. The catch? Yep, you read that right. The fastest zip line in the Philippines is in Brgy. Tagabinet, Palawan. In just 23–24 seconds, **snap** you’re done. But before you can try the fastest zip line, you need to go through their cave first.
I decided to have a City Tour on the 3rd and last day in Puerto Princesa, Palawan since this can be done half day. In their city tour, you would be able to see a lot of attractions in the city that includes the following: Crocodile Farm Mitra’s Ranch Baker’s Hill Binuatan Weaving Creation Immaculate Conception Cathedral Plaza Cuartel Baywalk and Souvenir Shop

See that? Yes, that! So, am I still in Palawan? Well, unfortunately, yes, I’m still in Palawan, specifically at Baker’s Hill. lol Baker’s Hill is known for its beautiful topiaries, statues, landscapes, mini zoo, plants, and restaurant. I enjoyed my time here so much that I even wished I hadn’t gone to Mitra’s. Hahaha!
