Up close with Crocodiles at Crocodile Farm, Puerto Princesa

In my previous post, I mentioned that I’m a fan of Godzilla, so I was really excited to join this tour because they look like him.

Ignore the girl on the photo lol. THAT’S NOT ME AND THAT’S NOT NEIL (obviously)

To start off the tour, the guide introduced us to the second-largest crocodile in the Philippines, which was caught in southern Palawan. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take any photos because I entered late and forgot to capture one. So let me just grab a photo from the internet nyahehehehehehe.

So, that is its skin (photo above) and skeleton. The guide said that they captured this giant croc because it “accidentally” ate a fisherman, leaving only half of the body. Why would someone accidentally get eaten? Yikes!

Anyway, this giant croc actually died due to stress. If you know Lolong from Agusan, the largest on, it also died because of stress. So beware of stress. Hihihi.

Moving forward, we went to their hatchling house.

The big pens are located below the bridge, which you’ll need to cross to reach the next tour area. Don’t worry, the bridge is not that rusty!

The next stop is my favorite part of the tour. Why? Because of this.

Look at the not-so-amused baby croc, lol and then look at me with my we-want-to-have-this-as-my-pet face.

Its scales are so cold and soft, and it’s really effin’ cute when they try to hold us and look at us with their I-want-to-eat-you-don’t-hug-me eyes.

There are still other animals aside from reptiles here but I’m not really interested. HAHA!

Goodbye crocs for now.
