Papa Kit’s Marina and Fish Lagoon is not just all about fishing. It is also an adventure park just like Danasan Eco Park but closer to the city. Been here thrice already but this time, they already have the wake boarding which makes me literally happy. This place is best for family outings and for adventure – addicts. After my Siargao adventure, I had to go to Surigao City. Since I had already booked our flight from there to Cebu, I didn’t really have a choice but to leave Siargao. creys Surigao City is located at the northeasternmost tip of Mindanao Island in the Philippines and is the capital of the province of Surigao del Norte. I really had no idea about Surigao City, and I didn’t even know what to do there. lol
Mabua Pebble Beach consists of pebbles instead of sand. Unlike the usual sandy beaches, Mabua has large, smooth, pebble-like stones. This has been a phenomenon, as they say, since no one can really explain why the stones are so smooth. This is what the stones here look like.
The best part of my trip in Siargao is surfing. It’s actually my first time to surf and I’m very much excited. I even went home early from Island Hopping because I really wanted to try surfing immediately.
The island hopping was supposed to be canceled due to bad weather. Good thing Kuya Roel followed us (like a stalker—haha, just kidding!) throughout the Boardwalk. He then offered to tour us to General Luna, specifically to their boulevard. However, when we arrived and saw the clear sky, we decided to resume our plan.
One of the known surfing spots in the Philippines is Cloud 9. Big surfing competition events are also held here. As what Kuya Roel (our tour guide for the day) said, them as locals doesn’t care about the waves at first. Until foreigners went to visit the place and discovered that it was one of the best spot for surfing. And so it began.
When I arrived at Sayak Airport, I didn’t have any reservations yet. Even so, I had already planned where to stay, and it was a “come-what-may” decision if there were no available rooms at the resort.
Summer has come, which means it’s time for team building! Our first choice was Singli Mountain Resort in San Fernando, but we weren’t too impressed with the place. One reason we chose Singli was because of the team’s budget. Another reason was that we have two pregnant members on our team, so traveling to far places wasn’t an option.
