Camiguin Island Tour and Mambajao’s Fiesta

Last 2 years, it should be my first solo travel and supposedly, it should be here in Camiguin. I have my round trip ticket already and everything’s packed in my back pack. Unfortunately, I didn’t go *rolling eyes*. But as far as I know, Camiguin is one of those safest travel destination for female solo travelers. It is known for its seven active volcanoes, which is why it is called the Island Born in Fire. It is also one of those destinations that makes it onto every traveler’s bucket list. Why? Simply because it has almost everything — from hot and cold springs to white sandbars and magnificent waterfalls. I hope this article inspires you to visit Camiguin, although I

Chateau Blanc in Guadalupe

It’s Team Building time again and I’m very excited ’cause this is my first TB with my new team! *hoooooraaaaay!* Aside from that, we are  also looking forward to visit the newest venue for team building — the Chateau Blanc in Guadalupe. Another privately owned rest house that is hidden somewhere on the top of the mountains lol. But honestly, it is really hidden ’cause no one really knows that this place exists until our supervisors went there for their team building. So whoever discovered this place? Bless your soul.

DIY Cordillera Adventure (Baguio-Banaue-Bontoc-Kalinga-Sagada)

This trip is one of the most memorable ones I’ve had. A lot of unexpected things happened along the way — long bus rides, riding on top of jeepneys, landslides, and trekking through the unfamiliar Cordillera mountains while being drenched in rain. At one point, I even thought it might be my last day. Still, it was all worth it! Again, this is my Do-It-Yourself DIY Cordillera trip. Thanks to all the blogs as my resources, the trip was successful and an achievement to be proud of.

DIY Sagada Travel Guide

Sagada of Mountain Province is now getting a lot more of attention after a Filipino movie featured the jaw-dropping view of Kiltepan. There’s also a lot of package tours for friends and family around Facebook that will make the trip easier and convenient. But how about those who doesn’t want to book these package tours? How easy to reach Sagada by commuting? Well, it’s as easy as throwing a rock to someone you hate *insert evil face here*. Just kidding, of course it’s not that easy to throw a rock to someone. But going to DIY Sagada trip? Well, maybe?

Wang-Od: The Last Kalinga Tattoo Artist

There were so many things that happened on the way to Buscalan Village to get a traditional tattoo from Apo Whang-Od. At times, I though of heading back to Bontoc and just forget about it, but then, in the next moment, I decided to continue with the plan. It was an unexpected trip and I had to hike steep mountains in the Cordillera just to reach the village due to a landslide. However, I believe everything was worth it and something to be proud of in the end.

Exploring Baguio City

Baguio City is the summer capital of the Philippines and to tell you honestly, I’m not really planning to go there. My friends keep on telling me to go with them but I’m not really interested. The movie ‘That thing called tadhana’ didn’t change my mind as well ’cause after the movie, I’m still not interested to go there (no offense to Baguio peeps). But hey! There are more things aside from parks that will make you love Baguio City. Aside from it’s cold weather and strawberries, I love how people dress up in Baguio. lol Also, when you are in Baguio, it seems like you are not in the Philippines anymore. etchos! So what did I do in Baguio?

DIY Ilocandia Tour

When I started traveling, I always preferred DIY (do-it-yourself) trips rather than packages. Why? Simply because I wanted to manage my own time and explore places on my own. So when I decided to take an Ilocandia tour last year, it made me think about whether I should get a package and just follow the itinerary they would provide. Since the Ilocos Region is very far and it would be my first trip traveling by land, I almost booked us with one of those travel agencies on Facebook. Then I thought about it again, reviewed the itinerary, and told myself it was soooo boring. You basically just sit in a van the entire time, waiting for the guide to tell

Wandering around Laoag City

Honestly, I don’t know how to start with this blog post. Maybe there are just experiences that are better left un-shared and you only wanted to keep everything to yourself instead. Anyhow, I still want to share it to all of you just in case someone will be reading this post. lol Laoag City is the capital of Ilocos Norte and is best known for its sand dunes that can only be found here and in Paoay, which is just a neighboring municipality.

Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte

Up until now, I still can’t believe that I have reached the northern tip of Luzon for our DIY Ilocandia Tour, which is Pagudpud. Although it’s tiresome to make your own itinerary, it was also very fulfilling that I was able to do it on my own. Pagudpud is the fourth municipality in Ilocos Norte and is best know for its unspoiled white beaches, patapat viaduct and the windmills. I arrived in Pagudpud at exactly 12:15 midnight and it only took an hour for me to reach it from Laoag City thanks to the Night Express Van. Our very helpful guide, Kuya Marlon, fetched us at their Municipal Hall then brought us to Klasik Beach Resort where I will be staying

Vigan One of the 7 Wonder Cities of the World

Recently, Vigan was declared as one of the 7 Wonder Cities of the World. The city, which is the capital of Ilocos Sur, is well preserved to show the Spanish architecture as of the present time. Everyone wants to go to Vigan to stroll around Calle Crisologo and to taste their very own longganisa, bagnet and empanadas. Although we have a kalesa ride in Cebu and even in Dumaguete, nothing will beat it if it’s in the street of Vigan. Aside from that, the city is also well known for its antique shops.
