After lunch following the whale shark watching in Tan-awan, I went straight to Tumalog Falls to freshen up. Also known as Mag-ambak or Tuslob Falls, this waterfall is not your ordinary falls like the famous Kawasan Falls in Badian, where you can swim. The water here isn’t as clear as in other falls. But what makes this waterfall truly unique?

I’ve heard about and seen photos of the falls before, and I wasn’t that fascinated because you can’t swim there. But since I was already in Oslob and had canceled my trip to Sumilon after the whale shark watching, I decided to head to the falls instead.
How to Get There?
Tumalog Falls is just 9–10 minutes away from Tan-awan by habal-habal for 120 PHP each way. If you’re coming from Cebu City, take a bus from the South Bus Terminal to Oslob. Once you reach the Oslob boundary, look for the sign on the right side of the road for Tumalog Falls. It’s actually easy to find, you just need to keep an eye out for it. Hahaha!
By habal-habal, you’ll drive up until you reach a small store with a sign for Tumalog Falls.
It was quite a long ride but the scenery was superb. With entrance fee of 20 php, you can already experience Tumalog Falls in a bit.
From the main entrance where you’ll be paying the 20 pesos fee, it’s still a long way to walk to the falls (5-6 mins I guess?) and the road is really steep.
And also scary.
Then you’ll reach the mini water falls and the ambiance here is way cooler now.
And now I’m here!! *winks*
So, as I mentioned above, the waterfall is unique compared to Kawasan Falls and other falls in Cebu. Why? Simply because the water that falls from the top isn’t very strong. It’s more like a gentle rain shower.

There’s also an area that looks like an umbrella where most of the tourist took photos.
There are few tables and chairs so I just left my things around corner.
I went home after an hour since there’s nothing left to do here and I’m done swimming
To reach the little store or the main post in the entrance, you can take a habal2x again for 10 pesos only. And before leaving the place, don’t forget to try their fresh-from-the-tree buko juice for 20 pesos only.

Awesome trip Ming 🙂 Is it worth the trip?
