Bocaue Peak or Muffin Hill: Unplanned Overnight Camp

Cebu has a lot of camping sites to offer, and I have many acquaintances who love hiking and ticking things off their bucket lists. I feel a bit envious about it because, although I have tried hiking and camping, I don’t have enough experience to share. There’s a mountain climber club from my previous workplace, and they always invite everyone, including me, to try it out. But I always end up nodding and then pretending to forget about it, like a toxic avoidant person. LOL Also, the year 2019 wasn’t very good for me (although the only one to blame are my choices in life lol). So, this was a great time for me to give myself a break, enjoy

Elyu & Baguio Quick Trip

I resigned from my job after a good effin’ 6 years as a corporate slave. After receiving my last pay and not knowing what to do with it, my friend, who is also my former workmate and had also resigned, decided we’d take a quick trip to Elyu and Baguio. It was just a spontaneous trip and my friend, Yana, bet her life on me as her tour guide since I’ve been to these two provinces already.

Quick Trip to Taiwan

It’s been a while since my last trip because, oh boy, adulting is no joke! Since my little sister, who lives in Australia, will be coming to Taiwan for her birthday, we decided to meet there to celebrate. Taiwan, located between the Philippines and Japan, is just 2 hours from Manila and 3 hours from Cebu, making it a great destination for Filipino travelers.

Emergency Singapore Trip

I think we have an emergency! No need to panic! I’m just singing Paramore’s Emergency lol. But yeah, this trip is kind of an emergency as we had to fly here from Taiwan because a super typhoon was coming our way while we were there. To be honest, I could’ve just flown back to the Philippines, but I really wanted to go back to Singapore to celebrate my sister’s birthday haha!

Hong Kong and Macau

Hong Kong and Macau are among Filipinos’ top destinations for first-time international trips. Since we live in a tropical country, Filipinos usually go there during winter. However, they do not experience snow in these destinations.   These countries are said to be expensive like Singapore. As of November 2017, Hong Kong is in the 5th place of the highest cost of living in the world. (Source: https://tinyurl.com/y83wp4xv). But who said you can’t have fun by spending less? By taking Disneyland and Ocean Park off my list ’cause I’m not really into amusement parks (except for Universal Studio of course!), I have more time to experience the authenticity of Hong Kong’s culture and enjoy Macau’s modern structures.

Fascinating 10000 Buddhas Monastery

There are lot of temples with Buddhas or Hindu gods I have visited since I started traveling to other Asian countries. From the magnificent temples in Cambodia to the cave temple in Malaysia and even the reclining Buddha in Thailand. Now, there is another place in Hong Kong that is quite interesting just by its name that really caught my attention — the fascinating 10000 Buddhas Monastery. The Monastery is located in Sha Tin, which is a little bit far from Tsim Sha Tsui, but can easily be reached by MTR. It actually has 13,000 Buddhas and what’s fascinating about it is not only the number of Buddhas but the fact that each of them has different expressions and positions.

Singapore Travel Guide

Never thought that Singapore will be our next destination because I’m more into temples, historical and cheap places. Even my papa recommended that I should visit since he worked here before and said that it was a really nice country.  . . Once you hear the word Singapore, the idea of a luxurious and expensive trip might cross your mind and it can be a little intimidating. Since Singapore is a wealthy city-state in Southeast Asia, and due to concerns about illegal immigration, Philippine Immigration can be a bit strict once they know you’re heading there. But don’t worry — this Singapore travel guide might help you save more when you visit (or maybe not).
