Anyhow, I still want to share it to all of you just in case someone will be reading this post. lol Laoag City is the capital of Ilocos Norte and is best known for its sand dunes that can only be found here and in Paoay, which is just a neighboring municipality.

Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte

Up until now, I still can’t believe that I have reached the northern tip of Luzon for our DIY Ilocandia Tour, which is Pagudpud. Although it’s tiresome to make your own itinerary, it was also very fulfilling that I was able to do it on my own. Pagudpud is the fourth municipality in Ilocos Norte and is best know for its unspoiled white beaches, patapat viaduct and the windmills. I arrived in Pagudpud at exactly 12:15 midnight and it only took an hour for me to reach it from Laoag City thanks to the Night Express Van. Our very helpful guide, Kuya Marlon, fetched us at their Municipal Hall then brought us to Klasik Beach Resort where I will be staying

Although we have a kalesa ride in Cebu and even in Dumaguete, nothing will beat it if it’s in the street of Vigan. Aside from that, the city is also well known for its antique shops.

Side trip in Malapascua Island

After our overnight stay on Kalanggaman Island, which you can check out here, Kuya “Crew” from the pump boat suggested that we take a side trip to Malapascua Island. Since most of my group had never been there, we didn’t hesitate to go. I was also quite excited as my last trip to Malapascua wasn’t very memorable due to a typhoon. Haha! Our side trip to Malapascua Island was unplanned, and we weren’t planning to stay overnight since we were almost out of cash and there’s no ATM on the island. Nevertheless, that didn’t stop us from having fun.

Visiting the island has always been part of my bucket list. Finally, after planning for months, our quickcation on the island last Holy Week with my friends was successful.
