I’ve been to Tingko Beach in Alcoy many times already, but I still want to go back there. The beauty of the beach is priceless, and its long white shoreline with crystal-blue waters makes you want to dive in immediately once you arrive. As one of the most popular summer destinations, the place is also a public beach. Yes, that means it’s worth the travel from the city—away from the hassle and busy life.

How to get there?
Tingko Beach is located in Alcoy, Cebu, about a 2–3 hour trip from Cebu City. You can go to the South Bus Terminal and ride a Ceres Bus to Alcoy, just tell any conductor where you’re heading, and they’ll help you. Personally, I highly recommend the Ceres Bus since it’s safer and very convenient.
Where to stay?
There are plenty of rooms available, ranging from ₱1,000 and up. I’m not very familiar with the exact prices since I’ve only stayed overnight there once. You can even bring your own tent and camp anywhere on the sand.
