Surfing in Siargao Island

The best part of my trip in Siargao is surfing. It’s actually my first time to surf and I’m very much excited. I even went home early from Island Hopping because I really wanted to try surfing immediately.

Normally in Siargao, the rental for the surfing board plus an instructor is 500 each per hour and that’s it, however, it’s different with me. Because of Kuya Roel, he only give it to me for 500 pesos for 2 hours as an instructor with unlimited use of the surfing boards. Wohooooo!

Since we can’t surf in Cloud 9, Kuya Roel said that we will surf in Jacking Horse Resort (just don’t mind the name lol) instead. It is also one of the spots where beginners can play.

Before surfing, Kuya Roel demonstrated how to stand up in a surfing board and how to balance.

I started playing at 1:00 pm and then just realized that it was already 4:00 pm. That means Kuya is already giving us a lesson more than 2 hours already and we hear no complain and even said it was OK. We really enjoyed a lot but every thing has to end. Back to normal again but with body pains. lol.

And by the way, you will have to wear booties for you not to be injured once you jump off the boards.

At night, I had some bottle of beers to chill a little bit and called it a day. Still have to wake up early for my trip to Surigao City! Wehoooo!
