Once you’ll hear Badian, what comes to your mind is Kawasan Falls right? Little did we know that there is a hidden public beach there as beautiful as Moalboal. I’ve heard and read about the place a gazillion times already but didn’t have the nerves to go there yet. Until one day, as the impulsive side of me struck again, I hurriedly packed my stuff and, without any hesitation, went there.
Lambug Beach, despite of being public, is not that known yet and overcrowded. It is a very secluded place and I don’t even have any idea how to get there. All I know is that they have a nice white beach and it is the best place to unwind. That’s it! Hahaha.
Sometimes, or most of the time, being an impulsive person is a bad thing. Why? Because during my trip, I forgot the back cover of my GoPro for underwater shots and also my snorkeling gear. My digital camera was dead too, even though I had charged it the night before. And the worst part? It rained that day! Yes, during that day, even though it had been a bright, sunny day the day before. Well, nobody can predict the weather anyway.
Moving on, I arrived there just before lunchtime and stopped at the local market to buy lechon manok and puso (hanging rice). Then hired a habal-habal to take me to the spot.

How to get there?
You can ride Ceres Bus from South Bus Terminal for 3-4 hours. It could be the non-aircon or the aircon for 120.00php and up. You can ask the konduktor to stop at the Market or to Cebu International Golf and Resort but I would highly suggest to stop at the market especially if you have no foods yet. There’s also a lot of habal-habal drivers there as well.
From Market, you can hire a habal-habal for 50 pesos per person. But in my case, I haggled it to 40 pesos. I don’t even know if it was overpricing or not but what matters to me that time is to go there right away.
The place and food
Lambug Beach has a really long shore line and the place is 100% virgin. lol. I mean it has not been fully developed yet and that makes it admirable. Just like what I’ve said earlier, the place is not overcrowded especially on weekdays.
There’s also cottages in the beach and we rented the 300 pesos worth cottage but got it for 200 pesos only. *Thanks to my haggling skills* For the food, I will recommend you to buy it in the market because it is really expensive there already.
I don’t have a lot of photos that day since I’m only using GoPro and it was raining.
One thing I’m sure of is that I’ll be coming back here soon and next time, the sun will be up and shining! Hahaha!
