Updated: Canyoning in Alegria to Badian, Cebu

Rest in peace Mr. Aldrin Carba Described as one of the best “canyoneering guides” and a pioneer in the field, Mr. Carba, also known as “Ya Man,” was found dead after a 29-hour search and rescue. He went missing following a jump during a canyoning activity on July 26. This post is a tribute to him. Although I never met him personally, I had the opportunity to speak with his mother while staying at their home during our canyoning trip. Sunshine Shin Beach Resort

Summer has come, which means it’s time for team building! Our first choice was Singli Mountain Resort in San Fernando, but we weren’t too impressed with the place. One reason we chose Singli was because of the team’s budget. Another reason was that we have two pregnant members on our team, so traveling to far places wasn’t an option. Conquering Osmeña Peak

Are you into hiking? How about camping? Want to see how Cebu looks from the top? Dreaming of becoming a mountaineer someday? Then this is the perfect place to start, especially if you’re from Cebu. Osmeña Peak is known as the “Little Baguio” of Cebu because of its cool weather that really makes you feel like you’re in Baguio. It is located in the southern part of Cebu Province, specifically in Mantalongon, Dalaguete. The area is also known for its fresh vegetables like cabbages, cauliflower, and pechay. It is considered the highest peak on the island at over 1,000 meters above sea level.

Rancho Cancio

Every team in a company needs a break and some relaxation once in a while. For us, Team Steno, we had our team building at Rancho Cancio in Adlaon Farm, Busay, Lahug City. Located in Cebu City and about a one-hour ride from JY Square, Rancho Cancio is a private rest house that offers a perfect view of parts of Cebu, Lapu-Lapu, and even Bohol.

Family Bonding Time! Since it’s summer, my family decided to have a mini getaway. And since Papa didn’t want to go south, we just went to the north side. Bohol: City Tour

One of the tourist destinations in the Philippines is Bohol, which is a neighboring island of Cebu. Bohol is known for its Chocolate Hills and tarsiers, which are the smallest primates in the world. Let’s start with the Chocolate Hills. Most of them are located in Sagbayan and Carmen. They are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season.
