I’ve read a lot of blogs praising this place and even suggested to go there despite the 300 pesos entrance per person. Indeed, it is expensive but most of them said that it is worth it. That’s the reason it’s on my checklist.
Dicasalarin Cove of Baler is privately owned by the Anggaras. It is 20-30 minutes away from Baler and entrance fee is 100 pesos if you stay in Costa Pacifica or 300 pesos if you are not.
How to Go There?
You can rent a van if you are a group or a motorcycle if you are alone. Also, the trail going to the cove is one way only and the road is still under construction.

When I arrived at the beach, I had the cove to myself since it was still early.
It was also cloudy that day and it adds the gloomy effect to the place. The weather made the place lonely but beautiful. lol weird.
The cove has strong waves just like in Sabang but I don’t recommend swimming here. There are no other people around and it was really silent so just in case something will happen, no one can help you.
Then we hike from the cove’s entrance to the stairway to the light house and it will take you 10 minutes to get there and another 15 minutes to reach the top.
After 170 steps, we were awed by the vastness of the pacific ocean’s view. It was a cliff and there are no railings that will keep you safe from falling but only ropes so you need to be extra careful.
This is the not-your-typical lighthouse
Then there’s the beautiful spot — a cliff where you can have a good look below. Again, be extra careful.
And another spot! We even joke around that we need to do a jump shot lol!
And the other side of the cove.
When it drizzled, that’s when I decided to go down but my guide told me that there’s a cave in the other side part of the cove. I don’t want to miss it and since the drizzle stopped then off I go.
It took 10-15 minutes for me to reach the cave.
The rocks are slippery and the waves in this part is way more bigger so you need to be more extra careful, AGAIN. So I reached the cave but I wasn’t able to take a dip because it’s high tide and the current is so strong and it is really not safe.
But since it’s getting low tide, this will going to happen which makes it MORE unsafe. If it’s really low tide then it’s a natural pool and unfortunately, I don’t have time to wait for it so I just left.
So there you have it, you shouldn’t miss Dicasalarin Cove if you’ll visit Baler. All hikes are all worth it.

Can we really swim po?
If you are referring to the cave then yes but just make sure that it is low tide 🙂
Are there any accommodation for overnight at the cove itself? Thank you!
