The Mystical Island of Siquijor

The island is known for sorcery and black magic, which makes it feel spooky and mysterious. Every time my family traveled from Cebu to Dipolog and back by boat, passing by the island, my mom would always tell me that it was enchanted and that we shouldn’t go there. But who wouldn’t want to visit a place like this when you see the beauty it possesses? Forget all those hearsay and urban legends and let’s take a closer look at what makes the island so mystical. Siquijor is located in Visayas and just an hour away from Dumaguete, Negros Oriental. It has also became a favorite destination for most of the tourists from the other countries nowadays.

Updated: Canyoning in Alegria to Badian, Cebu

Rest in peace Mr. Aldrin Carba Described as one of the best “canyoneering guides” and a pioneer in the field, Mr. Carba, also known as “Ya Man,” was found dead after a 29-hour search and rescue. He went missing following a jump during a canyoning activity on July 26. This post is a tribute to him. Although I never met him personally, I had the opportunity to speak with his mother while staying at their home during our canyoning trip. For safety reasons, I have updated the blog so that those planning to go canyoning in the future are aware that it is not advisable to do so on rainy days. The island hopping was supposed to be canceled due to bad weather. Good thing Kuya Roel followed us (like a stalker—haha, just kidding!) throughout the Boardwalk. Sunshine Shin Beach Resort

Summer has come, which means it’s time for team building! Our first choice was Singli Mountain Resort in San Fernando, but we weren’t too impressed with the place. One reason we chose Singli was because of the team’s budget. Another reason was that we have two pregnant members on our team, so traveling to far places wasn’t an option. The team kept looking for another venue, but just in case we couldn’t find one, we had no choice but to stay there. Bojo River Cruisin’ in Aloguinsan

Bojo River is located in Aloguinsan, in the southern part of Cebu, and honestly, I had never heard of this place before so this was quite an adventure for me, especially since it was my first time here.

Family Bonding Time! Since it’s summer, my family decided to have a mini getaway. And since Papa didn’t want to go south, we just went to the north side. I searched for resorts there because I’m not really familiar with the area. I even looked into El Salvador, but I didn’t like the place. Then, I saw my friend on Facebook uploading her summer photos.
