Kuber ATV Adventure in Ubud

One of the adventures that you don’t want to miss in Bali – the ATV Adventure! I’ve been reading a lot about this and how fun it is so I’m so excited since Ron really wanted to try ATV.

Muddy jungle trails, hidden waterfalls, river crossings, and winding paths through lush rice paddies, all experienced in one thrilling ride. With many operators who offers the thrill, one of them stands out – the Kuber ATV Adventure.

Kuber’s track feels more cinematic and diverse than most, with dark, extended tunnels, waterfalls, river crossings, and mostly off-road jungle trails making the whole experience even more exciting for us.

I have tried ATV before in Cebu and it was off road too with some ups and downs trail. But compared in Bali, it’s not even half of that.

We booked the premium package, which lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, and the solo ride costs 1,400,000 IDR (around ₱4,800 per person). They also offer a regular package that only lasts 1 hour, but I prefer the premium one since it includes the signature 400m natural cave, the natural river track, and the iconic hidden waterfall. All of these signature tracks are only offered by Kuber. Compared to other operators, they usually only have man-made caves, and their routes are not as long.

Just a note, though: this is not a walk in the park kind of adventure. There will be guides to help you along the trail, but you should still be mindful of the risks.

They also offer a photo and video package, but it’s a bit pricey. Good thing we brought our GoPro with us, so we only needed to pay around 300,000–400,000 IDR for the guide to take videos of us during the entire ride. Also, I think it’s nice to have them take the video for you because you’ll be the first in line, right next to the guide.

We started the ride in this open area with the rice fields view where we can do some tests maybe if we know how to operate the ATV bike. So far…. so good….

Next is the Balinese village, which is by the way a residential area so you need to be very careful in riding your bike.

Then next is the jungle track with lots of uphill and downhill sections, so you need to be very careful here. It rained that morning too, so it was very slippery and muddy but that wasn’t really a problem and actually made the entire ride more fun!

There are a lot of cliffs as well, which made it even more thrilling. It looks super easy in photos, but trust me, it’s really hard to rev the engine up, especially on uphill, and it’s so tiring to hold the brake when going downhill.

Next is one of their signature tracks – the 400m natural cave tunnel and I’m really excited to go through it.

A few meters from the tunnel’s entrance, we can already see it, and we’re both excited and terrified at the same time. We were also prioritized and moved to the end of the line to get better videos – that’s how special we were during the trip. When we started riding through the tunnel, all we could see were the headlights from our ATV bikes. We were screaming our lungs out while driving – it was really, really fun to feel the adrenaline rush!

Literally, it was pitch black inside like this.

There is also running water inside the tunnel, so expect to get splashed while going through it. Now, if you are curious how it looks like inside, here’s a quick video.

After the tunnel, next is their another signature track, which is the natural river track. Wehoooo!

The view is so nice and very calming – it reminds me of Canyoneering in Cebu, Philippines, well, without the waterfalls and swimming of course.

Then the last of the signature track of Kuber *drum roll* – The waterfalls! You will know once you’re there if you’ll see the waterfalls *obviously duuuh*

Good thing is, you will be given enough time to take some photos and videos with the waterfalls and it’s not crowded because the interval of each trips is 1 hour.

The last but not the least is the Mud Zone! So you’ll be given a time to play with the muddy water. Here’s a video:

After all that fun, you deserve a snack included in your package.
