DIY Ilocandia Tour

When I started traveling, I always preferred DIY (do-it-yourself) trips rather than packages. Why? Simply because I wanted to manage my own time and explore places on my own. So when I decided to take an Ilocandia tour last year, it made me think about whether I should get a package and just follow the itinerary they would provide. Wandering around Laoag City

Honestly, I don’t know how to start with this blog post. Maybe there are just experiences that are better left un-shared and you only wanted to keep everything to yourself instead. Anyhow, I still want to share it to all of you just in case someone will be reading this post. lol Laoag City is the capital of Ilocos Norte and is best known for its sand dunes that can only be found here and in Paoay, which is just a neighboring municipality.

Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte

Up until now, I still can’t believe that I have reached the northern tip of Luzon for our DIY Ilocandia Tour, which is Pagudpud. Although it’s tiresome to make your own itinerary, it was also very fulfilling that I was able to do it on my own. Pagudpud is the fourth municipality in Ilocos Norte and is best know for its unspoiled white beaches, patapat viaduct and the windmills. I arrived in Pagudpud at exactly 12:15 midnight and it only took an hour for me to reach it from Laoag City thanks to the Night Express Van. Our very helpful guide, Kuya Marlon, fetched us at their Municipal Hall then brought us to Klasik Beach Resort where I will be staying
