Mabua Pebble Beach consists of pebbles instead of sand. Unlike the usual sandy beaches, Mabua has large, smooth, pebble-like stones. This has been a phenomenon, as they say, since no one can really explain why the stones are so smooth. This is what the stones here look like.
From Surigao City, you can take a tricycle directly to Mabua for 120 pesos. Once you get there, you can rent a cottage and enjoy the whole day with your family and friends. I would also advise wearing sturdy slippers, as it can be very difficult to walk on the large pebbles.
I’ve read online that Mabua also has a very nice sunset. Unfortunately, I was already so hungry and the weather wasn’t great at the time, so I’m 100% sure that even if I waited until sunset, I wouldn’t have seen anything.
