One of the tourist destinations in the Philippines is Bohol, which is a neighboring island of Cebu.

Bohol is known for its Chocolate Hills and tarsiers, which are the smallest primates in the world. Let’s start with the Chocolate Hills. Most of them are located in Sagbayan and Carmen. They are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season.
Next are the Tarsiers… These cute little creatures, about the size of your fist, have big, wide eyes that make them even more fascinating. They can also rotate their heads up to 180 degrees. Tarsiers originally come from Loboc (also in Bohol) and were brought to a sanctuary in Carmen to be cared for, partly for tourism purposes.
Tarsiers are quite sensitive. They can easily get stressed and, in extreme cases, may even harm themselves. We are not allowed to take photos with flash because of their large eyes. Unfortunately, some tourists still use flash, which is very disturbing! Anyway, here are a few photos of the tarsiers in Carmen.

Another tourist attraction in Bohol is the Bilar Man-Made Forest, which you pass through on the way to or from Carmen, Bohol. You’ll know you’re inside the forest when you notice the Mahogany trees surrounding you.

We also visited Baclayon Church, the Loboc River Cruise, and the Big Sawa in Bohol. However, we didn’t get any decent pictures of these destinations sooooo maybe next time! Lol.
