5 days & 4 nights Coron: Freediving & Private Tours

I’ve been really looking forward to this trip all year because Ron didn’t know that I had booked a trip to Coron since last year. I booked it in September for only 7,000 pesos for a round-trip ticket, which already included baggage and seats. He thought we were just going to Moalboal because I wanted to surprise him, and at the same time, make fun of him a bit *cries in guilt* The prank went well, although he was dumbstruck at first. He seemed a little disappointed, I guess, since he thought we were going to Moalboal and was so excited about it that he was even ready to dig into the famous restaurants there. But lo and behold, we’re

Freediving in Barracuda Lake and Skeleton Shipwreck in Coron

Now comes the fourth day of island hopping in Coron. This isn’t just an ordinary island-hopping trip because today I’ll be freediving in a shipwreck and at Barracuda Lake. *yay* It’s every freediver’s dream to freedive in Barracuda Lake because, first, you can freedive in any sea or ocean you want, but in a lake? That’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Second, it’s in Coron. That’s it. Lol

Tour A Private Island Hopping: The Chill Tour

We’re on our third day in Coron and we’re ready for another *drumroll* island hopping, of course. We opted for a private tour again because, well, we’re old and almost rotting, so we always want to take everything slow now. lol This tour includes Las Islas de Coral, CYC Beach, Sunset Beach, Quin Reef, Green Lagoon, and Kayangan Lake. You might wonder why there are so many destinations for a chill tour, but we only visited four destinations, and two of them were “2-in-1 spots,” as the tour guide called them. I’ve been itching to go to Kayangan Lake and have this shot because just look at that view!

Calauit Safari Park in Coron: Is it worth it?

I’ll answer the question in this post’s title. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS because I’m dying to see the giraffes! Well, Cebu has a safari and has giraffes there too and now that I realize it while writing this, I’m not sure why I haven’t visited our own Safari yet haha! But let’s put that aside for now and focus on Calauit Safari Park!

Freediving with Dugong in Coron

I think this trip alone deserves its own post, so here it is. As you know, I love freediving, and encountering sea animals is one of the best feelings in the galaxy lol. I’ve gotten addicted to freediving with butanding, turtles, sardines, and manta rays. It’s now kind of a goal for me to freedive with as many sea animals as I possibly can. Since we’re going to Coron, I didn’t miss the opportunity to freedive with a dugong (sea-cow). Apparently, I almost missed it because the videographer I contacted, who only does private tours, was already fully booked. But thanks to the water deities, he became available because his guest cancelled on those dates, and I was able to
