DIY Singapore and Malaysia

Again we’re back to traveling and this time with my girl friends and of course Neil. This will be the second time we will be traveling abroad and to one of the wealthiest country in the world which will be Singapore then Malaysia. So would this break our¬†frugal goals in traveling?

Well, the answer is no. We still managed to save a lot on this trip and here’s how.

  • We have a friend working in Singapore and was able to stay in her flat instead of booking in hostels. For only 15SGD/head per night then it was a win-win situation.
  • We also booked for USS and Cable Car tickets ahead of time and online (www.klook.com) to save more.
  • Since we will be going to Malaysia, we booked for a night bus for only 10SGD or around 350PHP to sleep in the bus instead.
  • Bought corned beef, hotdogs and a lot of snacks from Philippines since we can also cook in the flat.
  • We borrowed the ez-links from our friends since many of them were able to visit Singapore already.

The DIY Singapore and Malaysia trip is made easier by our friend Kate, who works as a nurse there and she’s also the one who suggested the itinerary. You can refer below.
