Solo Trip to Baguio and La Union

Yes, you read it right! Finally, I traveled solo for the very first time after canceling the Camiguin and El Nido solo trip ’cause of my boyfriend’s request! Supposedly, he is coming with me but due to work, he can’t and thanks to that I was able to travel alone! lol The original plan was Zambales-Pangasinan and since boat rentals are expensive especially if you’re alone then naaaah.

DIY Ilocandia Tour

When me and my bf started travelling, we prefer DIY (do it yourself) rather than packages. Why? Simply because we want to manage our own time and we wanted to explore the place on our own. So when we decided to have our Ilocandia tour last year, it made me think if we should get a package and just follow the itinerary that they will provide to you. Since Ilocos region is very far and it would be our first trip where we will be travelling by land, then I almost booked ourselves in one of those travel agencies on facebook.

Then I think again and reviewed the itinerary and said to myself that it is soooo boring. Like you just have to sit on the van the entire tour and wait for the guide to tell you to get out from it and take some photos with the well-known spots. Aside from that, we wanted to surf in La Union and experience the struggle of backpacking. Then that’s where we have decided to have our own itinerary and have our DIY Ilocandia tour.

Vigan One of the 7 Wonder Cities of the World

Recently, Vigan was declared as one of the 7 Wonder Cities of the World. The city, which is the capital of Ilocos Sur, is well preserved to show the Spanish architecture as of the present time.

Everyone wants to go to Vigan to stroll around Calle Crisologo and to taste their very own longganisa, bagnet and empanadas. Although we had a kalesa ride in Cebu and even in Dumaguete, nothing will beat it if it’s in the street of Vigan. Aside from that, the city is also well known for its antique shops.

Me and my boyfriend both miss surfing in Siargao but this time, we wanted to try other surf spots. It’s been said that San Juan was just an ordinary sea shore before until they discovered that the waves here are good for surfing.
